BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF HISTORY- ANTIQUE  COMES AS IS WITH NO BOX  FINE SILVER MOUNTED BRITISH OFFICER'S PISTOL BY STANTON, WITH BRASS CANNON BARREL, BRASS LOCK, SILVER HALLMARKED FOR CHARLES FREETH.  This fine silver mounted pistol had silverhallmark dates for 1780 and was made byWilliam Stanton, who is recorded at 1Pleasant Row, Newington, London. The 3stage barrel features a flared and turnedcannon muzzle. The octagonal section ofbarrel is engraved with florals on top 3flats, near girdle, and marked "London" inscript on top. There are 2 Tower privateproofs on the left side. Flat, stepped,brass lockplate with light wriggle workengraving around border, bridled pan,swan neck cock, center of plate signed"Stanton". Intricate pierced silver ribbonsideplate with borders and floral motifs.Complete with original wooden ramrodwith horn tip.
