THIS IS AN NFA/CLASS 3 REGISTERED TRANSFERABLE MACHINE GUN. ****If you do not know what that means or requires for purchase, please do no bid on this item until you CONTACT US FIRST to explain to you the NFA/Class 3process If you are unsure of the procedures for purchasing an NFA registered weapon, please contact us or your local NFA/Class 3 Dealer.  This listing is for a British-designed Sterling L2A3 Mk IV 9x19mm NATO transferable submachine gun. Made with a DLO MK2 registered receiver tube and an original British parts kits, this transferable Sterling SMG is setup in the British L2A3 Mark IV configuration, popularized as the standard British military-issued SMG, not to mention the basis for the notorious rifles carried by Stormtroopers in the Star Wars universe. This model is in excellent overall condition. Mechanically, it is fantastic, and appears to have seen very little use, as any wear on the internals are minimal, at worst. The bolt face is clean and crisp and barrel is bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling.  This model does note the upper receiver studs so a scope mount can be installed, if so desired.  Cosmetically, it is in excellent condition, with minor surface handling marks in the black crinkle finish, most noticeably on the right sight of the barrel shroud at the front sight, the rear endcap, and a small area on the very rear of the butt stock (see photos). These marks are only finish deep in the crinkle and are cosmetic in nature only. Overall, the build-workmanship on this model is spectacular, with seamless welds that are almost undetectable. Unfortunately, we do not know who was responsible for the setup of this weapon, but we believe, based on comparison of the quality of the work and comparison of the finish applied, that this may be an Andrewski model, however, that is speculation only as we have not been able to confirm that.  This model based off the original Patchett Machine Carbine also features the Sterling Mk IV upgrades and an underfolding stock. The exterior of the bolt is marked with a pair of etched crossed flags which was a British Military proof marking. All mechanisms on this weapon operate and lock appropriately. This transferable submachine gun will come with an original 34rd magazine that is also in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. This fully transferable machine gun is currently on a Form 3, which lists "DLO Mfg" as the manufacturer and "MK2" as the model. Transfer of this weapon will take place via eForms.
