Based on the Blake-Mouton Managerial Grid, the SMI yields a total score for each of the five styles 9/9, 5/5, 9/1, 1/9, 1/1. Normative data and conversion tables, N = 13,446, afford personal comparison with both the average manager and the theoretical goal.
