This is a rare early 1931 12-fret Gibson L-00, representing the initial design elements of this iconic Gibson flat-top model. It boasts a Mahogany top and an ebony finish with white binding around the top, giving it a classy "tuxedo" look. This particular guitar is one of the very first batches made, predating the more common 14-fret versions sold until World War II. With a 1920s style silver stenciled script "The Gibson" logo, a single-bound top, and a 3-ply sound hole ring, this L-00 showcases relatively plain ornamentation.
