Since it was released in 1986, the Boss DD-3 has set the bar for digital delay pedals.  This incredible musical delay pedal sounds fantastic in every setting, and it's very easy to use. It offers delay times from 12.5 ms to 800 ms, as well as a "Hold" function. Although this model is still in production, there have been subtle changes along the way.  This Boss DD-3 was made in Taiwan in 1995. It is the third generation of the DD-3 circuit, which has a few tweaks that make it subtly different from the earlier MIJ units. Most obvious is that the third generation has the smaller, square-shaped "Boss"-labeled delay chip. Unlike the earlier longer, larger chip, the square chip keeps the repeats cleaner (i.e., they don't degrade as much as they fade out). Also, when you adjust the time knob mid-delay, there is no unwanted noise or fluttering as the repeats catch up. The third generation circuit also has a more sturdy adapter jack, so this version of the DD-3 is built to last.  This 1995 Boss
