2005 Krishot A5 Mandolin

Krishot mandolins are made in the Czech Republic by E.K.—Eduard Kristofek. Although E.K. lives pretty far away from the San Juan mountains of Colorado, he has a sincere Telluride connection as the winner of the 1993 Telluride Bluegrass Festival mandolin competition. He also won the Rockygrass competition a few years later in 1996. On many some of his early trips to the USA, he had the opportunity to study bluegrass music and examine Lloyd Loar F5s from 1922-23s.  E.K.'s wealth of knowledge and understanding of how the mandolin functions in a string band are translated deeply into his instruments. This Krishot A was made in 2005, and it conforms to typical A5 specs.
