The first day flower is dark pink but the flower goes through a lovely color change each day; however, the color never completely fades to white--it is always pink. The flower is extremely large for a small lotus. The fully opened flower has broad light pink petals with darker pink on the edges. The receptacle in the center is bright lime green and the stamen are gold making this lotus quite distinct in appearance.
