An E-Head punch is the starting tool for creating a nail hole in steel. Choose the punch based on the nail you will be using. If the steel is 3/8" or greater in thickness you will need a Drift to drive the nail shape deeper into the steel. To finish use a pritchel to shear the side of the nail hole so they are super clean with no burrs and you have got a beautiful professional nail hole. Go for it!
