The patina is a near perfect white color. The cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.515 x 1.085 inches. Dug from the foothills of NE Tenn. A Vicksburg rifle is a Kentucky long rifle rebored to 0.54 caliber. A good shooter but they performed poorly in the field.
