Cold Spring Dining Table

Like the bridges that helped to power America’s Industrial Age, the structure of this table is substantial. The hammered metal trim and nailheads around the edge of the tabletop recall the steel production that was a hallmark of the era and add texture and interest. The end planks are perpendicular to the length of the table and were originally added to tables for strength and to prevent warping. Here, they function to hold the extensions….and for good looks.
