Maha Padmasambhava Sculpture | Oxidized Statue of Nepal
Guru Padmasambhava Oxidized Statue From Nepal The statue of Guru Rinpoche, also known as Guru Padmasambhava, was expertly hand-carved in Nepal using traditional Himalayan art. The sculpture was expertly handcrafted with an oxidized copper body. You can apply this technique in various contexts, such as your usual yoga or meditation practices or on auspicious traditional Buddhist holidays. We've pictured a deity sitting serenely on a moon disc lotus seat, holding a vase in his left hand and a vajra in his right. We used traditional hand-carving techniques with a hammer and small chisels to create intricate design patterns on the statue. It requires a great deal of skill and experience, as the artist must have decades of experience to create detailed design patterns on such a small surface area. The artist must also thoroughly understand traditional iconography and Buddhist scriptures to ensure that every detail on the statue is accurate and true to the original. Size: 15.3"/39cm (Height)
