Ethiopia Kayon Mountain Natural - 5lb

A beautiful naturally processed coffee from the Guji zone of Ethiopia. The Kayon Mountain farm and washing station is truly one of the best and most consistent in the region. Founded in 2012, Kayon Mountain is owned and operated by Ismael Hassen and his family. Their goal is to produce high-quality coffee using socially responsible, biodynamic farming practices. Of the 500 hectares his family owns, only half the land is used for farming, with the remainder preserved as wild forest. Coffee plants are grown under a shade canopy of indigenous trees. Compost and natural fertilizers are used to keep plants healthy and organic practices are followed to manage weeds and pests—avoiding the use of harsh chemicals.
