Beautiful vibrant Yellow and purple Fluorite from the Moscona Mine in, Villabona, Asturias, Spain. Lovely sparkly pale yellow and of course some lavender purple, which is rare from the Moscana mine in. There is also pyrite on the yellow crystals. It does Fluoresce under long wave(pink) and short wave(yellow/orange). Long wave Black lights are much easier to come by. This piece would make a great addition for any collection. 141.6Mine Info:The Moscona Mine, located in the region of Llano de Solís, a town within Corvera de Asturias, was registered with concession number 29.811 in 1968 by the Minas de Miranda Company that rented it to Minersa in January, 1977. Thus it can be considered to be a ‘young’ mine on the Asturian Fluorite mining scene.The present extent of the mining works covers about 5 square km. with an operating system that uses chambers and pillars on two levels.
