Wheel-thrown Chess Set

Join us to throw a custom set of chess pieces this spring, and you can be playing with them by summer! Personalize your set with a spectacular reactive glaze, or a meaningful customization of characters.  And because pottery is a numbers game,  this workshop meets over several weeks to ensure each set is complete and provide time and materials to re-make any pieces that don't survive the kiln. This workshop utilizes the wheel to throw multiple, near- identical and similar pieces over five weeks.  Handmade Chess Sets: February-March, 2026 Colfax: Saturdays, 9am-11am , Feb. 21, 28, Mar. 7, 14, 21 Moscow: Sundays, 1pm-3pm, Feb. 15, 22, Mar.1, 8, 15 Pullman:  Wednesdays, Feb. 25, Mar. 4, 11, 18, 25   Workshop includes five days in the studio,  instruction, use of our tools and equipment, firing and dip-glazing.
