Fable
Fable Barnyardy and floral with a slight fizz - overflowing basket of red and black fruits - bold but light on its feet with a citrus zing. Le Raisin et l'Ange Father and son duo, Gilles and Antonin Azzoni, are pioneers of natural winemaking in Ardèche, a subregion in Northern Rhône encompassing portions of appellations like Côtes du Rhône, Saint-Péray, Cornas, and Saint-Joseph. Settling in Ardèche in 1983, Gilles set up his family farm of over 6 hectares of vines lined by woodlands and rolling hills and quickly made himself known as a practitioner and advocate of natural winemaking principles. In addition to promoting organic viticulture in their own vineyards, Gilles and Antonin increasingly purchase organic grapes from other farmers throughout the Southern Ardêche to support and grow awareness of the transparent organic grape-growers in their region. They are true stewards of the organic revival in Ardêche and work to promote biodiversity by also planting cereals, fruit trees, and more specific woodland trees like Boxwoods that help reinvigorate the deeper soil layers. All wines are made without oenological additions like yeasts or sulfites, and nothing is taken away, so no filtering or filtration. Vive l'Ardêche!
