Overview Emergency lights are designed to operate for a minimum 90-minutes after AC power to a building is lost. The 90-minute specification is specified in the NFPA Life Safety Code. The Life Safety Code was and still is used by UL (Underwriter Laboratories) to create the UL 924 Standard for Emergency Lighting and Exit Sign Fixtures. The UL 924 Listing on all of hour emergency lights insures a minimum 90-minute run time. But, sometimes 90-minutes is not enough. There are many types of commercial and industrial applications where an extended run time is desired. This can be the case for large processing and manufacturing facilities, areas where rolling blackouts can occur, and areas where when power is lost, it typically takes more than 90-minutes for it to be restored. For these instances, we design, build, and recommend our 24-Hour Emergency Light.
