Overview The WP-EXIT Series Wet Location LED Exit Sign is a weatherproof exit sign designed for use oudoors and in other applications where moisture is present, such as wash down areas. The WP-EXIT Series features a UV stabilized, impact, moisture, and corrosion resistant ABS plastic enclosure. This model can handle rain, sleet, and snow. The polycarbonate housing is fully gasket to seal out moisture. For locations that feature freezing temperatures, be sure to purchase the cold location package that comes with an internal battery heater which insures operation in freezing environments. The WP-EXIT Series is UL 924 Listed just like our other exit sign models and comes complete, ready to install. It features powerful red LEDs that provide efficient EXIT illumination, only consuming 5 watts of electricity. A reliable and efficient nickel cadmium battery backup system provides a minimum 90 minutes of emergency power to the unit in case of a power outage.  Quality is not sacrificed for a lower bottom line, all WP-EXIT Series wet location exit signs are fire and building code compliant. Operates using 120 or 277 volt electricity and come with a push button allows for easy testing of the battery backup system. This model can be installed indoors or oudoors. The housing is sealed to prevent any element from entering the unit. For freezing temperature applications be sure to purchase the cold location package. External Specifications Entire unit is constructed from ABS plastic that is impact/corrosion resistant and UV stabilized. Housing is grey with red letters.  Internal Specifications Red LEDs provide illumination while consuming less than 5 watts of electricity at all times. Battery backup system features nickel cadmium battery pack. Electrical Specifications 120/277v AC dual-voltage operation is standard. Other voltages available upon request such as 220v and 240v. AC lockout prevents battery pack discharge. Low voltage battery disconnect protects the battery pack form being damaged by long discharge periods. Maintenance Profile The maintenance required for this unit is monthly and yearly testing of the battery backup system per OSHA regulations. The nickel cadmium battery is replaceable. Lifespan This wet location exit sign comes with a 8-10 year expected lifespan on all of its components except replaceable battery which has only a five-year lifespan. Use two of three provided wires to connect the unit to AC power. Use the black(120v) and white(Common) wires for 120v AC connections and the red(277v) and white(Common) wires for 277v AC connections.
