Description: The Texas Redbud typically grows as a small tree with a rounded or vase-shaped crown. It features heart-shaped leaves that emerge after the flowers, starting out as a reddish-purple color and maturing to a glossy green in summer. In fall, the leaves may turn yellow or bronze before dropping. The flowers of the Texas Redbud appear in dense clusters along the branches and stems, covering the tree in a profusion of pink to purplish blooms.
