What is the lift assist hinge? If you look at the driver side hinge it will either be round or square/rectangular. If your truck is equipped with lift assist it will have the square/rectangular hinge pictured on the left. If yours has the round hinge like the one pictured on the right, it is not equipped with lift assist.
