Antique French bronze letter opener. Featuring a raised relief figure of an elephant. Accented in silver gilt finish. Superb quality, the elephant posed with trunk upright and walking on a naturalistic rocky base. Signed A. Marionnet for Albert Marionnet (French, 1852-1910). Measures 11 1/2" length. In good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use.
