Antique French Silvered Bronze Wax Seal Desk Stamp Madonna & Child

Antique French bronze wax seal desk stamp. A superb solid casted silver gilt bronze sculptural figure. Depicting a fully dimensional figure of the Virgin Mary holding the child Jesus. She is portrayed in a standing pose, with beautiful detail to the cascade folds in her robes and veil. On a circular pedestal base and matrix. Bearing an intricate monogram of interlaced initials EL or LE with a Baron's crown . Wax seal measures 2 7/8" height x 3/4" wide x 7/8" deep. The matrix is 9/16" x 1/2". In overall good antique condition with wear to the silver gilt finish commensurate with age and use.
