19th Century Intricately Carved French Walnut Sofa or Loveseat

A Louis XV-style intricately carved walnut sofa with shaped upholstered backrest, which leads to scrolled partially upholstered armrests with scrolled floral detailing, above knees carved with acanthus leaves and a diamond carved skirt with a central floral-filled cartouche offset with scrolling filigree. The broad seat is upholstered with burgundy mohair, and the sofa is raised on tapering legs with snail feet. Classic high quality example of Louis XV fine furniture.
