An Italian Baroque style walnut writing desk/table from the early 19th century, with drawers, lyre shaped base legs and beautiful hand crafted wrought-iron stretchers. Created in Italy during the early years of the 19th century, this walnut writing desk or table features a curved hand carved rectangular top showcasing a raised shelf with two petite drawers with a storage compartment. The apron conceals one additional drawer while the ensemble is resting on two lyre-shaped legs supported by wrought-iron stretchers with curved scrolling. Original Italian Florentine paper still lining the drawers! With its exquisite lines and lovely aged patina, this Italian walnut writing desk or table will bring a touch of elegance and interest to any home, whether placed in a study, bedroom or living room.
