An elegant and very comfortable pair of French Neoclassical giltwood armchairs or fauteuils in the Louis XVI style, both frames showing arched crest-rails with upholstered backs, sided by padded armrests terminating to carved grips over generously proportioned seats, decorated overall with carved & molded foliate motifs, raised overall on tapered toupie supports. Lovely original paint and new neutral upholstery! Bought in the South of France.
