When I painted "Between Sun and Sacrifice," a vivid image formed in my mind. I envisioned a serene beach, one that had witnessed the ebb and flow of countless tides, stories, and emotions. In this vastness, a lone soldier stood, clad in his worn attire. I felt an intense connection to him, as if I could sense his contemplative thoughts, his silent reflections on responsibilities, friendships, and the nature of war.While crafting the scene, I took special care to highlight the soldier's stance and features. I wanted to capture that deep-seated resilience I felt from him. In the background, the contrasting hues of the setting sun and the approaching night became evident. I was keen on capturing that particular fleeting moment, hence the abrupt transition of colors. I admit, there were times I questioned my color choices, especially the pronounced golden tint on the soldier.
