Enchanted Swirls Dance

“Enchanted Swirls Dance” is my take on the ever-popular Venusaur, but with an impressionist twist. I’ve always been drawn to Venusaur’s Grass/Poison type mix, and I thought it would be fun to highlight its frog-like features, which really pop in the ‘Let’s Go’ series.I shook things up by painting Venusaur standing on its hind legs. It’s not a typical pose for this Pokémon, but I think it really brings out its froggy side. The canvas is mostly filled with teal and green, Venusaur’s signature colors. But I also threw in some auburn and pink in the corners to mix things up and give the piece some depth.I wanted “Enchanted Swirls Dance” to be a nod to the classic Venusaur, but with a new twist. I think the mix of the unusual pose, the contrasting colors, and the impressionist style really captures Venusaur’s essence while giving a fresh look at this iconic character.
