Neon Ivy Dreams

In “Neon Ivy Dreams,” I sought to capture a significant moment for an Ivysaur confidently stepping out from a dense bushel. Being familiar with Ivysaur’s unique attribute - the bud on its back that absorbs sunlight - I wanted to highlight this aspect as the creature seemed to relish its own growth and impending evolution.I chose an impressionist style for the background to create an air of mystery and to allow viewers to fill in the gaps with their imagination. This deliberate vagueness ensured that the attention remained fixed on Ivysaur, which I intentionally positioned to occupy most of the canvas, signifying its prominence.My color choices were deeply influenced by the nature of Ivysaur itself. Dominant greens represent its plant connection, while the blues subtly suggest the vast sky overhead and the possible presence of water nearby. I introduced touches of pink to provide a contrast, accentuating the balance and beauty of nature that surrounds and defines Ivysaur. Through this painting, I aimed to celebrate Ivysaur’s journey and the vibrant world it calls home.
