Stronger Than You

Within the quiet of my studio, I created “Stronger Than You”. Inspired by Garnet from Steven Universe, this work became a symbol of resilience, unity, and love.I chose to present Garnet without her usual sunglasses, revealing all three eyes. Each eye tells a part of her story: ruby’s fiery spirit, sapphire’s calming wisdom, and their combined eye showcasing the blend of two souls as one.Garnet holds a special place for many, especially within the LGBTQIA+ community. She represents the journey of identity, unity, and the ongoing quest for acceptance.Her smile, drawn with gentle precision, speaks volumes. It showcases determination and the enduring power of love even during challenging times. When viewers look at this painting, I hope they see a reflection of their strength, their experiences, and their journey towards understanding themselves.
