"Save The Whales" Thanksgiving Coffee - Medium Roast

This sweet and full-bodied coffee features the peaceful notes of pecan and nutmeg, pleasantly assertive milk chocolate, marzipan, and subtle perfume of fresh vanilla bean. This coffee helps save whales! My grandfather, J.D. Mayhew, whose artwork is on the front of this bag, was a principal figure in the Mendocino Whale War of 1976, a local anti-whaling campaign that was part of the international Save-The-Whales movement. This movement helped change United States policy to extend fishing limits off the American coast from 12 miles to 200 miles, saving whales and protecting fishing grounds. Our friends at Noyo Center for Marine Science in Fort Bragg, California, have picked up the torch and have been working to study, protect and educate our community about whales and the marine environment since 2014.
