Nyjer® is a favorite of goldfinches, pine siskins, purple finches and redpolls. This seed has a short shelf life. We recommend only purchasing a few months' supply at a time to keep it fresh. Rain and humidity can especially damage Nyjer® seed, so keeping it dry is important. We recommend covering your feeder with a weather guard to protect the seed from the elements. During the more humid months, keep an eye on clumping and replace the seeds and clean your feeder as necessary. Works best in traditional Nyjer®or finch style bird feeders. Contains: Guizotia abyssinicia (Nyjer®) heat sterilized to prevent germination.
