This double-barreled method creates a uniquely smooth and refined bourbon with an elevated depth of flavor. After initial aging in a standard new charred oak barrel, the whiskey is filtered and transferred into a second, heavily charred barrel for further maturation. This second barreling imparts a rich, almost dessert-like quality to the final spirit.
