Mali Clay Beads (Red)

The individual beads in this strand of tiny African clay trade beads measure approximately 3 mm in diameter! The strand is in good condition. The length of each strand is approximately 28-30". Picture shows 4 strands however strands are sold individually. Red clay beads such as these are harder to find than their brown and beige cousins. Often found in Mali in HUGE quantities !!! and is still a mystery as of who made them and when. Beads like these could be 400 - 500 years old!!
