Theodore Roosevelt Signed 1898 Navy Endorsement
Theodore Roosevelt maybe the greatest president of the 20th century and arguably one of the greatest presidents ever. He was chosen as one of the four presidents of the United States, to be featured on Mount Rushmore, alongside Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln. At 42, he's still the United States youngest president ever and the first American to receive the coveted Nobel Peace Prize. This beautiful piece is a copy of a photo depicting Roosevelt during one of his speeches along side an original typed memo from February 28, 1898, and signed in Theodore Roosevelt’s own hand. During this time Roosevelt was acting Assistant Secretary to the Navy. In the memo he makes reference to Dry Tortugas harbor, which was home to closed military base, Ft. Jefferson in the Florida keys.
