Class: Beginner Socks Class - Toe Up
Join sock expert Mandy for this introduction to sock knitting where we will use a very simple toe-up technique - no kitchner stitching required! This is a two-part class meeting two different days, two weeks apart. We will cover the best types of yarn for knitting socks, basic sock construction, inserting waste yarn for the heel (if needed by the pattern), and finishing techniques. This class is suitable for someone with basic knowledge of knitting, and required skills include: casting on, the knit & purl stitches, knitting in the round, and binding off.
