1945-1948 Ford cars with a 6 cylinder motors produced used a 5-GA radiator.  This 6 cylinder radiator is narrower than the V8 in the same period and has the unique threaded nut in a square box mounting on the support bar.  Henry Ford famously said in 1929, "I have no use for an engine with more cylinders than a cow has teats" yet he launched the V8 in 1932 and the 6 Cylinder in Fords from 1941 to 1947 Flathead 226 GA Series (Cars) and the G Series (Trucks).  If you have modified or altered your vehicle in anyway, please order from the bespoke radiator section.  If you wish to restore your OE radiator using your OE tanks, brackets and/or castings please visit the restoration section of our website to begin the process.
