Inhibits re-fermentation of beer of wine by retarding yeast reproduction. It will not stop an active fermentation. If you want to sweeten a beer or wine, add sorbistat at end of fermentation. Sugar, malt, or honey can be added and will not ferment. Works best in conjunction with metabisulfite.
