MONKHOUSE, George C. [207] pp. White Mouse Editions 1983 10 3/4" x 13 3/8" This volume features the outstanding photography of the author, a Kodak engineer with access to all the best new equipment at the time and a personal friend of Mercedes team driver Richard Seaman. Having covered the start of the Silver Arrows era in a conventional manner, Monkhouse was able to travel with Seaman to races during the years 1937-9 and thus had a unique insiders access to this famous and dramatic era. Monkhouse had written earlier books on the subject but this one, by the publishers of the ERA book by Weguelin, continues the tale to the end of the Mercedes F1 involvement in 1955 (with Moss and Fangio).
