Albino Bushynose (ANCISTRUS CF. CIRRHOSUS "ALBINO")
Background Info Albino Bushynose Plecos are an excellent addition to virtually any tank. With their nearly perfect cleaning abilities and vibrant whitish-yellow color with a playful nose, they are exciting choices for an aquarium. Originating from South America, specifically the Amazon River, these unique plecos can grow up to 5” and have a life span of about 5 years under optimal conditions. Albino Bushynose Plecos prefer to have plenty of hiding places such as rocks, caves, and plants. Since they are nocturnal, they will typically hide during daylight hours and become more active at night. These fish are best suited for community fish-type tanks as other fish may be too aggressive and potentially cause major issues for the Albino Bushynose Pleco. Their diet should mainly consist of vegetation in the form of spirulina pellets, flake, or algae wafers. Since they are herbivores, they need plenty of vegetation in their diet to remain healthy.
