Creamsicle Molly Background Information Creamsicle Molly (Poecilia sphenops), also known as Creamsicle Dalmatian Molly, is a freshwater fish endemic to the shallow waters of South America.  They are becoming more common amongst hobbyists due to their vibrant coloration and social behavior. They are called creamsicles because their orange and white scales resemble those of the sherbert dessert called Creamsicles. Growing to a length of up to 4 inches, the minimum recommended tank size of the Creamsicle Molly is 25 gallons for at least four fish. Water should be maintained at a temperature of 65-80°F and a pH of 7.5 -8.2.  Rocks, plants, and driftwood should be added to the tank to replicate their natural habitat and also provide ample hiding places. Floating vegetation can also be included to diffuse light entering the tank.
