Wise Owl Glaze Glaze can be used to add contouring, highlighting, or shimmer to your paint or used as an eco friendly stain alternative. Ready to kick your furniture painting up a notch?? Glaze is the key! This super versatile product can bring tons of depth, dimension, and drama to your painted furniture. Use darker glazes to enhance the contours of a piece, bringing shadows to crevices and details, or use metallic or opalescent glazes to highlight raised areas and give pieces more dimension overall. For more control over the glaze, I prefer to varnish my piece first. I then apply with a brush and wipe back the excess with a baby wipe or damp paper towel.
