Limitless Cowl

I wanted to create a cowl that would take a beginner knitter from a solid foundation of knitting and a little bit of purling to the next step of adding in slip stitches and then finally adding a combination of slip and purl stitches, in three different versions of the same basic cowl shape. Version 1, we start by knitting flat to create a garter edge, then we join in the round and keep knitting to create a smooth stockinette fabric. Finally, while still working in the round, we alternate knit and purl rounds to end with a garter edge. Version 2 begins the same as Version 1, but we add in a second color of yarn and incorporate slip stitches to create a textured fabric with a bit more interest. With the addition of the second color yarn, especially if you choose a self-striping yarn, you’ll get a fun, but subtle color changing cowl. Version 3 builds on the 2 previous versions by addi
