Via Toscana
Via Toscana [Vee-uh Tows-kah-nah] means “Tuscany Road” in Italian. However, it also means “Tuscan Way,” and this image shows the way of the Tuscan life in the countryside. The windy, cypress-lined roads and beautiful fields that coat the land, topped with soft skies and wispy clouds. This image was captured in the Val D’Orcia area of Tuscany. During his Sophomore year at University (January – June of 2014) Adam DeSerio decided to study abroad in Italy in order to discover the beautiful landscape of Tuscany and his Italian roots. He studied Art History, Creative Writing and the Italian Language. During his 3 day weekends in Italy, he traveled as often as he could, and set out on a 5 month quest to capture the true essence of Italy, not only in his mind but also with his camera. Italy is not just a place… it’s a way of life.
