"Sea Creature" print

Inspired by the beautiful nature illustrations of Ernest Haeckel, I wanted to make my own little sea creature. I chose my colors, and then let the process reveal the image to me as I drew. I thoroughly enjoyed the process, and as an avid meditator I really like having a visual record of that state of alive stillness, just letting the waves pass by. I also chose to end the drawing by making it look like the creature is sitting. Colored pencil on paper, 2020. This is an archival-quality Giclée print made on thick and durable matte paper.
