Iceland Dragon Pearl - Raw Pu’er

These are Iceland raw Pu'er dragon pearls from the famous Iceland village. Bing Dao, translated as Iceland, is a village located halfway up Bangma Snow Mountain in China, with an altitude of 3,200 meters. The Pu'er tea from Bing Dao village is known for its superb quality, with a thicker mouthfeel and smooth, slightly sweet taste. Unlike ripe and fermented Pu’er, which has a more earthy taste, raw Pu’er has a vibrant and fresh aroma. Each dragon pearl weighs about 8g and brews at least 5-6 cups of tea.  While ripe Pu’er tea has higher levels of caffeine (similar to black tea), aged raw Pu’er has very low levels of caffeine and higher levels of GABA, an important amino acid for relaxation and mental health. Thus, aged raw Pu’er will afford a much more relaxing and grounding drinking experience than ripe Pu’er.
