Embroidered Bird in Teak Frame | Green

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch. I've had this bird frame, handmade by the same artists, for a while - not knowing what I wanted to do with it.  Until now! I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a stunning, vintage Teak bowl as the outer frame.  Painted in the center to really showcase the bird.  I love that this particular bird has a very folk art feel and that the embroidered center feels quilt-y.  Plus, the green!! It turned out so fun + I am in LOVE! .....
