Embroidered Folk Art Bird in Extra Chunky Teak Frame | Green

Years ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!).  Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch. Now I'm playing with some of their newer frames - like this amazing folk art bird! I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots and used a truly special, extra chunky and extra deep, teak bowl to pull it all together.  I love the striped aesthetic of this frame and have only ever had 2 of these in my collection so it's pretty rare! The yummy, olive-y green background adds the best bit of moodiness to the piece too. .....
