A beautifully made antique chain, circa 1890, hand-crafted in 12k yellow gold. An interesting mix of long oval and round links punctuated by a charm clip that makes it versatile to style as a double wrap or single length with a pendant or charm attached. Possibly originally part of a longer guard chain, it was common for these to be broken up into shorter lengths as the fashion evolved. DETAILS: Measuring approximately 29" long with the links 4 mm wide. Weighs approximately 19.8 grams. The chain clip is marked 14k, the chain XRF tests to solid 12k. CONDITION: In excellent condition with a light antique patina, and some subtle wear. The clip is in strong working order.
