Cordoncillo (Matico)

Cordoncillo, also referred to as Matico in Ecuador, is an alkaline herb that is native to South and Central America as well as the Caribbean. Our Cordoncillo comes directly from the Amazon region of Ecuador where it has been traditionally used to alleviate respiratory issues such as asthma, as well as digestive inflammation such as gastric ulcers. In many countries, Cordoncillo is also used to address sexual transmitted diseases (STDs), as well as womb cleansing and yeast infections. Topically, it is also used to relieve body aches, including headaches, as it contains anesthetic properties.
