Elk Sterling Earrings

 I have Myaamia ancestry and in that language these earrings are mihšiiwia, or elk. Pronounced “mi SHE we ya”, I connect with Elk energy as it is my partners Spirit animal and therefore lessons arise daily to ground me to the earth, the grass, the forest edge. I am reminded of strength and protection and that we all have power within to be called upon in times of need. I felt called to saw pierced these Elk out of sterling silver with a jewelers saw, and then solder them to a textured background. It was a lovely experience spending time on the intricate antler, mindfully texturing the metal as the world outside melted away.  I hope they bring you resilience. I hope this elk bellows a reminder of your inner power, your strength to stand firm! To call to your kind, and maybe if need be resist together
