2024 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code The 2024 ISPSC is the only comprehensive swimming pool code coordinated with the current requirements in the I-Codes and ANSI standards. Steps and riser dimensions for decks of residential pools and spas must conform to the IRC®. Walking surfaces for decks, ramps, coping and similar surfaces are required to be slip resistance to standards indicated in the code. Elevated pools must be designed and constructed in accordance with PHTA 10. Secondary disinfection systems must be installed for increased risk aquatic venues.
